I tried out my new skates on Friday at my friend’s birthday skate party (we got a rink to ourselves with music … and they even let us bring our sticks and pucks in without any protective gear). Without the brake, I fell on my ass a lot because I was so used to lifting my right foot to stop so at first, I felt like I was learning to skate all over again. Eventually, I started picking up the stuff I had been doing on my old skates. There’s definitely a noticeable increase in speed and the turning radius is insanely tight.
Went shopping and then to the Ceramic Mug (pottery painting) on Saturday. Finally finished my piece (a picture frame).
Yesterday was an incredibly lazy day. Had some lunch, chilled out with friends and played Cranium. The closest game I’ve played yet with all three teams sitting on the final square before a winner was declared (our team came last despite having the lead for a lot of the game =( ).
