So I’m now doing rotations. As a Ph.D. student you do several of these rotations and try to figure out which group/lab you’ll join and do your dissertation/thesis work in. Interesting names I’ve heard for “rotation student”:
Rot-stu — pronounced “rot stew”. Eww. Gross.
Rotato — think potato with an ‘r’. Kind of cute.
Roton — variants include: ro-ton and rot-on. Think automaton but not really.
Ro-dent — Kind of cute, kind of gross, a bit of stretch.
Any others?
