BlogBandwagon
It’s interesting seeing two of my college friends starting on the blogging bandwagon. Interesting to see what they talk about and interesting to see how often they post. One of them does weekly archives. The other set up a second blog for awhile to specifically discuss a subject. Perhaps I’m being cynical, but I was in both modes at one point or another (weekly archiving and multiple blogs).
Inevitably, most blogs stabilize to something more manageable not only to post to, but also for people to read. Post too much about everything and it gets hard to keep up and follow threads. Post too infrequently (as I have recently) and people forget to visit. BKo has already consolidated his two blogs. I predict MPark* will lower his frequency after a few months and eventually switch to monthly. But if he can keep it up, more power to him. It’s just an interesting observation.
* I generally don’t post full names to protect people from spammers or unwanted search engine hits. I also wanted to be a BIT more specific than “Mike” because I know way too many.
