Matrix Reloaded
Once again, I’d like to say: Trailers are bad. If there was ever a movie that didn’t need the hype, this would be it. Why couldn’t you just have teaser trailers with scary closeups of Morpheus’s gap in his front teeth? I think you could show that and people would still flock to the movies. Instead, the trailers cover a lot (and to save myself from being a hypocrite, I won’t detail what it covers).
Some people say it sucks, most people I know feel it’s not bad but not good. Enough people on Rotten Tomatoes liked it that it got a fresh rating (75%). My view:
The ideas of the story: Good
The action: Good but some are too long
The dialogue: inane; could’ve got the same msg across much better

Basically, they could’ve cut some action, lots of dialogue and gotten the point across. I think they forgot to stop at the editing room on this one. Still, I had a good time, and I have fun discussing the possible meanings of some plot points with my friends so everybody’s happy.
