Worth 1000 Words
Kathryn and I are both into taking photos. I don’t consider myself even good enough to be called an amateur photographer because even that title seems to imply a certain level of skill and commitment these days. Nevertheless, we like taking good pictures and spending the time to compose good shots.
Worth1000.com has photography contests that run regularly. You enter your photo for free (or pay like $0.50 if you want to try for the jackpot) and people will vote on it.
Anywho, I think it’s pretty cool because now I have some focus for my photo taking to practise. Both Kat and I have signed up and will be entering stuff periodically. My username is kevinc and Kat’s is kittikat.

They also have contests related to Photoshop (where they started out), Multimedia (incl Illustration), and Text. Convenient, since all of those are areas I want to improve myself in.
