Upper Cut!
This week’s OK/Cancel has a bit of an inside joke feature. The shirt that iVan (the blond guy) wears in the third panel is the Diamondback Celtic Baseball T from Upper Cut, an urban clothing line started by some very cool and talented friends Hg, Steve and co. iVan is also wearing on his right wrist a leather wrist band from Upper Cut. I actually own (and wore last week), both of those items.
On a related note, Tomo, the Japanese guy in the same panel, always wears the same hooded sweatshirt. That shirt is actually a Roots shirt I own myself. It just happened to be sitting on a chair near me when I was designing the characters. If iVan wasn’t such a fashion whore, I wouldn’t have to keep choosing new clothes but I also wouldn’t have had the chance to put cameo clothes on them!
