RSS on Blogger

So B. already got RSS for Blogger working but nobody has followed suit. Today, I spent about 5 mins and got it working on a friend’s blogger site I built for him eons ago and it worked like a charm. Seriously, if you’re a blogspot user, do us a favour and just follow the instructions there.

Just go to your blogger template, look for any of the tags they mention and replace them with what they specify. If you don’t use one of the tags mentioned (e.g., BlogItemTitle) that’s ok, just ignore that step.

Regarding InfaVNews, it’s quite easy to turn off notifications or even turn off the polling altogether even though it’s built into Outlook so if you’re like Ashley and are a news junkie, fear not.

Yeah, that RSS for Blogger was very cool, but it doesn’t jive 100% with my “process line breaks” setting in Blogger. That’s why in the RSS summary part, you’ll still see those </b> tags all over the place, and it’s not very pretty. Still, I like posting and seeing my RSS pick it up. (I’m still using Trillian’s News plugin.)
