Just look at the <a href="http://www.brendonwilson.com/cgi-bin/liveframe.cgi/europe/4?m=display&sz=no">photos of the church</a> I took when I went through Europe in 1997! Then again, the church has been under construction since the late 19th century, so I don't suppose we should expect it to be built any faster. So, here’s the weird thing – the construction of Sagrada Familia doesn’t appear to have progressed in any perceptible fashion in seven years. Just look at the photos of the church I took when I went through Europe in 1997!

Well it's hard to tell based on those photos since no photo except for aerial ones can really show what progress has been made. Apparently, progress has been much faster with technology and they expect it to be complete much sooner (I forget how long). Our photos only show 4 of the towers when in reality, 8 of 12 are completed. Hm.
