So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish

There really is no better time to use this title as the book was written in, and begins, in London (or its outskirts at least).

Kathryn and I have returned from a series of trips including a weekend in Rome and two weeks in Spain and Portugal. The latter was hectic but a lot of fun. We went through Madrid, Toledo, Granada, Seville, Faro, Albufeira, Lagos, Evora, Lisbon, Aveiro and Porto. It’s hard to pinpoint particular cities as favourites but we can say we should have spent more time in Portugal and Granada’s Alhambra is unforgettable.

As for our time in London and Europe, we visited so many countries that many have become a blur. Yet each was special and worthwhile in their own way. The travel bug is definitely still with us though.

Where are we off to next? Well first, Vancouver. We’re back for a week before leaving once more to Hong Kong where we will spend Chinese New Year there for the first time in many years. Our original intent was to stay there for one month but it looks like there’s a possibility we’ll stay longer as it’s quite likely I’ll be there subcontracting.

So things are still very much in flux. If you’re confused about where we are, it’s okay because frankly, we are, too.
