Hong Kong Chinese New Year
Chinese New Year came and went. Late as it is to celebrate the Year of the Rooster, I thought it’d be nice to put up a picture we took in Vienna last year.
Kathryn and I have been enjoying the festivities of CNY out here and also the company of family and friends. It’s been pretty much as expected: a lot of good food, well wishes, shopping and to a lesser degree than when we were young, Lai See. One can’t really frown upon free money no matter the amount and we were quite happy. Who knows when we have to start handing them out instead. It also marked the first time I’ve received Lai See from former classmates.
I’m working on a pretty exciting project out here so we’ll be staying for a few months. I could probably say more but it may be more fun to do so after completion.
On a different note, if you’re looking to waste more time (since you’re obviously already doing so hanging out here), the 2005 Bloggies nominees have been announced. The best designed blog and best photography are interesting to me, of course. The best Asian blog has an interesting entry … you can try to guess which one I’m talking about. Kathryn and I think the Shanghai Diaries blog should be nominated in that category.
Next year, I’m going to see if Interface Your Fears can at least get nominated for best Tag-line (what a strange category).
