A Mixed Bag
Yesterday was a bit of a mixed bag for me:
- Got scheduled for a second phone interview with a consulting firm that interests me.
- Got more concrete numbers from another company on the offer they might give me. Disappointing but in the ball park so we’re discussing.
- I couldn’t find my allergy medicine so had to pick up a new one. Oh well. Still sinuses were very unhappy with me.
- Saw [Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room][1]. Overall, a pretty good retelling of what happened. Of course, the most brilliant piece was a clip from The Simpsons.
- Riding the Skytrain, Kathryn and I were checked for tickets. I searched and searched and could not find mine. Eventually, I gave up looking and got a fine for $173.
- I found my allergy medicine while looking for the ticket.
- I found the ticket, after reboarding the train.
- I forgot to bring my laptop charger with me.
- Got notified that I got another offer pending from a place I was interviewing earlier in the week.
All in all, the Skytrain thing was pretty annoying as was the laptop thing but the bigger picture was definitely positive. I’ll have some major decisions to make in a week or so.
