V for Vendetta
It’s hard to even just hear Hugo Weaving without expecting “Mr. Anderson” but I felt he did a very adequate job of portraying V, especially his introduction. The various officials weren’t given as much development as the comic due to time constraints, thus making out some antagonists to simply be “evil” in a far too acute way. The ending was dramatic and different again – less subtle. Basically, it’s standard Hollywood: more in your face, visually beautiful and just a good time. [imdb link]
