A truly bad movie. Bad dialogue, inappropriate casting and poor pacing. On top of that, they took all the parts that made the book fun and trivialized those elements while emphasizing the more standard aspects associated with the thriller suspense genre. I’m not a fanatic about adaptations of books being accurate and true but really, if you haven’t read the book, do that and skip the movie or you’ll ruin both experiences. If you have read the book, skip the movie, too.
