Robin Williams Plays Spore

I was able to attend a Wired party during E3 where Will Wright of The Sims and SimCity (and really, anything Sim) fame was giving the latest demo of Spore. Spore is a game where you go basically from amoeba all the way up to intergalactic travel and all the evolutionary steps in between.

Much like how The Sims gave a lot customization in the design and building of houses, Spores gives the same control over the design of actual creatures, robots, buildings, etc. To show how easy to use the customization interface is, Will asked for a volunteer from the audience. Everybody knew that among the audience was Robin Williams.

> “Is there someone in the audience who, oh I don’t know, might’ve played an alien on TV?”

Robin, an avid gamer, gladly stepped up. I managed to capture a video of most of the little sequence.

Funniest thing from Robin Williams I’ve seen in a while. And god do I ever want to play Spore.

This is absolutely hilarious. Its showing us what Spore can do asa game while still entertaining us! And did you see all those options! You’ll be a ble to creae anything with this game!!!

Hehe if I were there, when Robin Williams said yes, I would have been “Screw you, Robin!” and jumped up to play in front of him. He should feel honored to play that. :-)

Thats great, i never knew robin was into games!! i love his work,,, and i love Spore. I NEED this game, you think i could get put into a coma until its released :( it looks so awesome.

MUST HAVE SPORE… OR SOMTHING FASTER THAN NET ZERO!!!!!!!

SPORE COMES OUT IN SUMMER OR ONE MONT BEFORE AND YES I KNOW MY CAPS LOCK IS ON
