Unlike Jay and Silent Bob Strikes Back, this doesn’t depend as much on references to past movies, instead cleverly injecting references where appropriate but not forcing the audience to have watched ever Smith film to date to appreciate. The dialogue is simply brilliant and, especially for the first half, so densely packed that I’m going to have to buy it and watch it again. And again. [ imdb link ]
