Children of Men
Alfonso Cuaron’s latest movie is something not to be seen from the 3rd row of a theater. The cinematography is incredible, with a lot of extended shots but the hand held nature of the shots make it rather nauseating for the viewer up close (mind you, I don’t recommend anything from the 3rd row but in particular, this). “Children” is set in a future where all the women are infertile and the youngest person on the planet is 18yrs old. I think the premise alone deserved a lot more exploration than it did, and while the entire movie was well shot and engaging, I couldn’t help but think it ended up being just another “on the run” action flick.
