It didn’t live up to the hype that everyone else gave it. It’s funny, sure but maybe I’m just too old to relate to the coming of age stories now. It didn’t have me slapping my knees as much as American Pie did, and it didn’t have the nuance that I fely 40 Year Old Virgin and Knocked Up had. Oh well. [imdb link]
Totally agree. Although I found a lot of the banter (which frankly was just long monologues) to be pretty clever, the overall movie didn’t strike me as terribly memorable. 40YOV was great — loved it — but even with Knocked Up, I didn’t find it as good as the old standby series American Pie.

I loved the McLovin’ story line, but you’re right. Knocked Up was definitely better. Does that mean I’m too old now?
