Many people were surprised that Robert Downey Jr. was playing Iron Man. Personally, I instantly thought it was a perfect fit. Tony Stark is a celebrity with great hubris and revels in women, wine and fast cars. Robert Downey Jr. is a talented actor and recovered drug addict. Somehow, the two are a match to me.
