My first Danish movie. Contrary to what the American trailer would have you believe, The Celebration is much more a drama than a suspense thriller. I don’t even really know how to describe the movie without giving too much away. Suffice it to say that it’s a great examination into societal norms and pressures and how people will do anything to sweep things under the carpet rather than face realities.
