New Year Baby

No, the subject isn’t what you might think. My cousin, Angela, wanted me to let people know about a documentary she’s helping out on by the title of New Year Baby. It’s a documentary on six cambodians and looks pretty interesting. The director is and currently in Cambodia blogging about her experiences there.

What are you right now?

My friend Ben was IM’ing with me not long ago. Midway through the conversation, he asked,

Where are you now?

I told him I was in Hong Kong and asked him in kind, wondering if he was in the Bay area, Vancouver, Taipei or elsewhere. It then occurred to me that a few years ago, that question [...]

Hong Kong Chinese New Year

Chinese New Year came and went. Late as it is to celebrate the Year of the Rooster, I thought it’d be nice to put up a picture we took in Vienna last year.

Kathryn and I have been enjoying the festivities of CNY out here and also the company of family and friends. It’s been pretty [...]

Kevcheng Kvetching

I don’t know why but I just saw someone’s use of the word “kvetching” and thought “gee, that looks a lot like kevcheng”. No wonder I’m such a whiner.

I have a lot of little applications that run on my machine. I thought I’d share what I felt are the best ones so you can try them. I’ve included key features that make me stick with them.

Trillian Pro 2.0/3.0 - Instant Messsenger ($25/yr for pro)

aggregates all of MSN, Y!, AIM and ICQ lets me treat [...]

Indiana Kurioso Jones

If you take a look at my section or Kathryn’s section, you’ll notice instead of the lead photo, we’ve put up our travel in the last year. I’m not sure if that’s the location I’m going to keep the maps at but for now, it’s a good way of tracking where the heck we are. [...]

SimOK

I’ve been spending a bit of time on The Sims 2 lately. For those that don’t know, it’s a “life” simulation which, when described, sounds insanely dull but when played, is strangely addictive. Blog readers will love it because it’s so voyeuristic.

In any case, I came across some instructions on the site on how to [...]
